Have you ever seen a hummingbird and felt like you were witnessing pure magic?
These tiny, iridescent creatures are more than just birds—they symbolize joy, resilience, and are often believed to carry messages from loved ones in the spiritual realm. But their fleeting presence makes it hard to truly appreciate their breathtaking beauty.
With over 300 species of hummingbirds in the Americas, I set out to capture the essence of some of my favorites and painted them in a big enough size to allow you to bring their energy and wonder into your space. Each hummingbird has its own unique brilliance, and my artwork is intended to celebrate their colors, movement, and spirit in a way that lasts forever.
One painting in my collection is especially meaningful to me: it depicts a hummingbird delivering a message from a loved one. I was deeply moved by Mario Benedetti’s poem "Volveré", which speaks of a spirit returning through the wind, a butterfly, or a hummingbird to send love. This piece was inspired by those words and by my own personal experience of receiving a sign from my daughter, who passed away in 2020. Through this piece, I honor the idea that love transcends time and space, always finding a way to return to us.
